Fallingwater Reopens for 2020 Season

Fallingwater reopens March 7 for its 57th tour season. In 1963, Edgar Kaufmann jr. made the generous philanthropic decision to entrust this iconic house to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, saying, “Such a place cannot be possessed. It is a work of man for man…. By its very intensity, it is a public resource, not a private indulgence.” As we continue to celebrate Fallingwater’s recent UNESCO World Heritage designation, we invite visitors from around the world to experience a place that Kaufmann believed would enrich lives, inspire generations and connect people to nature. Learn more about Fallingwater or book your tour today.

March Desktop Background

As visitors walk down the driveway to the main house, Fallingwater reveals itself slowly. Like a sculpture, it must be viewed from all sides to be understood. There is no front or back; every elevation shows another aspect of Frank Lloyd Wright's visionary design. The integration of the house and site is evident in the powerful anchoring of the bedroom terrace to the rock outcropping. Experience Fallingwater in an entirely new way on Saturday, May 2 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Forest to Table Dinner – an intimate culinary experience that is a celebration of time, place and architecture. Learn more and buy tickets today for this unique dining experience! Download this calendar featuring Fallingwater.
