Thank You for Sharing Your Fallingwater Stories
Fallingwater is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we’ve been so pleased to celebrate this exciting news with you over the past two months! World Heritage inscription is an honor reserved for the world’s most irreplaceable and treasured places. We share this achievement with seven other Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings across the United States. Many of you participated in various special activities during recent visits to Fallingwater and shared your Fallingwater memories and thoughts on social media. Watch a short video of a couple who is traveling across the country visiting Wright sites and read a few comments and personal stories from our Facebook followers. Also, learn more about the inscription and what it means to Fallingwater and the Laurel Highlands and Pittsburgh regions.

It was worth the wait!”

Fallingwater Inspires New Textile and Exhibition

Fallingwater’s archetypal clear glass windows bound by red-painted steel are the chief inspiration for a new textile created by London-based Weave Designer Eleanor Pritchard. The process to create the textile, named Ffenestr, is the focus of a new exhibition at Fallingwater’s Speyer Gallery. Ffenestr is produced into a blanket and pillow, which are on sale now in the Fallingwater Museum Store.

“Our guide freely shared her vast knowledge with us about the house, and the Kaufmann family became alive. Seeing each room and hearing about the residents inspired us to buy Kaufmann jr.’s book to learn more. I've urged all our friends and family to visit and take the In-Depth Tour.”
